Athlete & Parent Agreement + Respect In Sport
Athlete & Parent Agreement
Athletes registering in our Provincial & National Development groups, along with their parents/guardians are asked to review and sign the Athlete & Parent agreement. This agreement outlines the shared expectations we hold for athletes and families, as well as the steps we may take if those expectations are not being met. Our goal is the create a positive, committed and supportive training environment for all.
Being selected to participate in these top-tier training groups is both an exciting opportunity and a recognition of each athlete's potential. With that comes a shared responsibility to uphold the standards that help our team thrive. If expectations aren't being met, or if the agreement is not signed, an athlete's participation in these groups may be reconsidered.
Please return the signed agreement to both the HSC Head Coach and the HSC Parents Rep before the first practice of the season.
Respect In Sport
In order to run an effective program, all participants (swimmers, coaches, volunteers and parents) have the right to a safe and respectful environment. As a way to strengthen this expectation, all parents/guardians are required to complete the Parent's Respect in Sport module. Certificate for parents must be submitted to the HSC Parents Rep prior to the first practice of the season.
Acknowledgment
By acknowledging the above terms, you agree to sign the Athlete & Parent agreement, complete the Parent's Respect in Sport module and send the required documentation prior to the first practice of the season.
